A Gallup Poll taken just two months ahead of the 2008 Presidential Election showed that only 44% of Americans were satisfied with the quality of primary and secondary education in the country. The No Child Left Behind Act had been a flint rock of controversy and speculation since its inception in 2002 and through out the 2008 Election. The condition of our American school system might not have been as volatile an issue as the void in American's wallets and pocketbooks, but as GTP traveled around asking the "president question" there were few subjects spoken about with as much enthusiasm as education. Americans across all races and age and economic background were concerned for the state of learning in our country. Responses ranged from simply railing against what are children are being instructed to solutions that included investing more money or reevaluating how are children are being instructed. Whether or not the GTP subjects had a solution, a renewed, refined focus on education, for many, seemed to be essential towards building a better future. If, after watching GTP - Education, you aren't convinced that investing time or money into learning isn't part of the answer, when any question is asked, stare into the faces of children and see if you can come up with a more informed response.
